Jaggy Thistle

This was the start-----

Nearly there now---------

It is very closely quilted so has taken a lot of time!

I thought it would be the first quilt that doesn't have any beads but think I will be tempted to put 6 on for the ends of the butterflies' antennae. Maybe I will embroider them just to show I can.
Also am debating about including a bumblebee?
This one is due to go to Scotland----where else? :o)

I love the idea of a bumble bee ... they are so much nicer than the wasp that went down the back of my t-shirt today. However, it's a super piece of work - with or without one! :-)

Thank you :o)
I have been working on a bumblebee and a ladybird tonight to finish it off.

Until recently I would have agreed about wasps! A few years back I disturbed a wasp's nest in the ground when mowing and was badly stung by about 40 wasps.

This year I managed to disturb a bumble bee nest and one flew up my trousers. Until then I never knew that they had the ability to sting repeatedly. One bumblebee caused me nearly as much swelling as 40 wasps!!!
