I remembered these star blocks that were waiting to be made into something. The addition of some more Japanese material for the alternate blocks means that the girls can have one each, earlier than I thought!
Same east/west theme for this one, but a different look completely!
On Friday night we had stormy weather with a lot of thunder. On Saturday morning we couldn't connect to the internet as apparently our modem had been zapped by the storm! This meant that I seemed to have loads of time to do other stuff instead of sitting procrastinating in front of a computer screen.
Whilst turning out my sewing room I came across some fabric sent by the other grandmother of my two youngest grand daughters. They are half Japanese so I hit on the idea of a quilt sort of incorporating an East/West idea both in fabrics and pattern and this is the result so far. It is still in need of borders, batting and quilting etc but so far I am quite pleased :o)

love them both!
They are both lovely and such a wonderful idea behind them. I especially like the rosy toned one, I love those colours.
