Forgot the bluebells!

These are proper English bluebells not the hybrid or Spanish ones which are getting more and more invasive.

I am not sure how long ours will be like this as the hybrids are taking over in Harris Park just over the railings. For some reason the authorities have just allowed the ground under the trees get taken over with brambles and tree seedlings and the native wild flowers are disappearing.

At one time they strimmed and cleared the bank once or twice a year and the ground was just right for all the wild flowers to flourish but sadly no more.

It rained.

The garden was desperate for a drink and the odd shower over the last couple of days has really greened everything up!

The fruit trees have been loaded with blossom, the grass is growing quickly and the bluebells are casting a haze of blue over the bank. There isn't any way to take a picture of the whole garden so here is a load of different views.




Hard to take in that all 95% or more of the trees and shrubs have grown from seed or cuttings in the last nineteen years.
