Scottish Quilt Show at Ingliston this weekend.

---------and I am really disappointed.  :o(

I feel very honoured that some of my quilts are being displayed by Grosvenor at the Spring Shows and Sandown this year. The nearest they come to Cumbria is the Ingliston show and I had hoped to be able to be there but it was not to be.

I do have the write up in the current Fabrications magazine to prove that it really did happen though. :o)
I do know I have seen all my quilts before (!) but it would have been thrilling to see them all hanging together wouldn't it?

Earth Tremor in Cumbria!

No pictures of it (and not even a story to tell )but apparently there was an earth tremor in Cumbria that measured 3.6 on the Richter scale at 11pm last night.
Its epicentre was just about 4  or 5 miles from us and we never even noticed anything?

At first glance this is a very nondescript picture but if you click on it so that it enlarges you will hopefully spot the red squirrel that had just jumped down from the plum tree. This is the closest to the house that we have seen one. We are incredibly lucky to have red squirrels in Cumbria.
Much is being done to encourage them and to keep the grey squirrels out of the area.
Later in the day we saw another one at the bottom of the garden.
