Machine stitches on silk.

Just trying out the decorative stitches on my sewing machine on some silk scraps.
I should have hung this rather than just put it on the table to take its picture!

Gorgeous! I think it's the most gorgeous landscape quilt I've seen.

That is absolutely gorgeous. Shows the true potential of those pre-programmed machine stitches,so often ignored. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you :o)

Sometimes the in built stitches on my machine get ignored as I quilt or do free motion embroidery. It was satisfying using both methods.

It is quite a small quilt-----about 16" x 20" or so.

Rosalind, this is a wonderful learning project for machine owners, especially Bernina owners. As you mentioned it's typical to overlook the many decorative stitches on our machines as we use the straight stitch most often for construction purposes! Thank you so much for showing this. I'd like to try to reproduce it if you don't mind.

Ros you have inspired me to use more programmed stitches in future. Wish I could see it for real. Thanks for sharing
