Red Squirrels

While taking the pictures looking down onto the roof of our house we were distracted by movement amongst all the leaves and beech mast on the ground and spotted this red squirrel looking for nuts and acorns .
All the pictures we took amongst the leaves didn't show it very well as it was almost the same colour as them. Once the squirrel saw the pup it dashed to the safety of the trees and watched her from a safe distance until it saw us leaving, when it came down the tree and got on with its feast.
