Spotted this fungus growing on dead wood along a disused railway embankment. It has spread along about twenty or thirty feet at least and has been this glorious colour for over a week.It is covered in perfect little red cups.
Can anyone identify it?
I have Googled a description and think it is Scarlet Elf Cup fungus. What a perfect name for it. :o)
