This is the fun part though I am having to watch how long I am sitting as time seems to fly past!
Wish I had noted the number of stitches on my machine before I started. At a rough guess I have stitched 400,000 stitches and used 3,000m of thread so far.
Must be a glutton for punishment as I am working away I am planning the next one!!

Wow !! This is good , Looks like satin or taffada fabric ,maybe silk... I have done some bible covers almost like this but not such detailed work , love it !

The fabric is just cotton sateen but it has that sheen that makes any quilting really show.
I love this so much! Are you going to colour it? I like it as it is but just wonder if you plan to change it?

There are a few coloured threads used and I have used gold metallic thread for definition so far.
It is very tempting to add some more subtle colour but I am not sure how it would work on the sateen.
