Jaggy Thistle won a rosette! :o)
I wasn't able to get to the Scottish Quilt Championships at Ingliston last weekend so I asked another member of the BQL if she would take a picture for me if she spotted it. As you can see she found it and it had a rosette! I was a bit disappointed to see that the description seems to have been pinned on so that the motto "Wha daur meddle wi' me?"was obscured somewhat. :o(
I had never been in correspondence with Claire prior to this and knew nothing about her. Imagine the surprise when it transpired that her husband's ancestors used to live in the house that we now live in!!!
I wonder what the odds are of something like that happening?

I have no pictures to post as I am waiting for a battery to arrive for my camera.
This week whilst Coneflowers is touring USA with the WQT2009 show I thought I would enter it in the competion at the Quilting Gallery. It is in the small quilts category.
If you click on the logo to the right it should take you there.
Yes of course I would really appreciate a vote but there are lots of other wonderful entries to choose from.
Fascinating to see all the different ideas and techniques

A little visitor
Wandering around the garden after school this little chap was spotted.

He/she seems very little to be out on his/her own! Rosie was quite puzzled to see something so much smaller than herself but wasn't quite so pleased when the said smaller creature managed to eat half a can of her favourite meat and vegetables!
It is brilliant to see baby hedgehogs again!
I hope it puts some weight on before hibernating!
We are very lucky with all the wildlife in the garden-------a bit too lucky with rabbits though which are a real problem!

Rosie
Not a lot happening on the creative/quilting front at the moment----well there is but it is all just experimenting and drawing up some ideas!
Here are some pictures of Rosie.

I did tidy up the pictures in the computer and put Rosie's pictures all together.
She was one tiny puppy! Yorkshire Terriers look so different once their ears prick up.
That is a baby wild rabbit on the window ledge looking in at her when she was about 5 months old! She is still a lot smaller than an adult rabbit!
