A Rosette!

This morning the postie brought home the fairy quilt I made for the Hoffman Challenge 2006 competition complete with a 3rd prize rosette to add to my collection. It is the red and white one on the right.(A picture of the quilt is way back in the July entries on my blog)
So far I have had a 2cnd ,3rd, and runner up prize in the Hoffman. I would so love to make up a complete set!!!! :o) Next year's fabric has been chosen so I am beginning to sketch ideas.

It is a well named competition as quite often the fabric chosen to be featured in the quilt is a very dominant design. Finding fabrics to balance with it and then using the fabric in different ways is half the fun. Posted by Picasa

Your fairy quilt is so beautiful, I can't believe it was not awarded 1st place. Congrats on your win!

The 1st and 2cnd prizewinning quilts were well deserved winners but thank you for your comment. It is always fascinating to see how other people used the same fabric design.
I would love to see them all when they are on display!
